Special-sales marketing creates options, which in turn generate
opportunities. Of course, you can still sell books. There are many
non-bookstore outlets that will purchase them. But if you are open to
providing the information in your books in a form desired by your
ultimate consumers, then you are in a position to sell more units and
increase your revenue and profits. This applies to fiction, too, as is
demonstrated by the growth of audio books.

Book-Marketing Tip of the Week – October 12, 2009

Hammermill Paper Company purchased over 5000 copies of Paulette Ensign's booklet 110 Ideas for Organizing Your Business Life as a premium for their sales representatives to leave behind with prospects after a sales call. The only change to which Paulette had to accede was to allow Hammermill to print the booklets on their paper to serve as a sample.
