they may not understand its benefit to them. After a series of exposures
to your message they may (or may not) decide to buy it. Unfortunately,

Discount stores, supermarkets and warehouse clubs thrive on rapid inventory turns. Therefore, the cover of your book is as critical to selling in special retail markets as it is in bookstores. If you send a galley as a sample, send one with a completed cover, perhaps wearing a flag stating that it is an "Advance Reading Copy," or Unedited Proof."
